About D.R.E. City Youth Exposure

D.R.E. City Youth Exposure (D.R.E. CYE) is a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, California, that exposes middle school students who live in inner-cities to new environments. The program is the non-profit sector of the Disciplined Respected Entrepreneurs Program (D.R.E.), an enterprise made up of the best and brightest college students and recent graduates specifically interested in business ownership and collective economics. The main focus of D.R.E. CYE is to enhance young lives through exposure, education, expression, and empowerment. Most inner-city youth are only exposed to things that are within a restricted radius from their homes and schools. The program changes lives by giving youth opportunities to travel and see something different outside of their own communities. Through exposition, youth can explore and learn about more options that the world has to offer. They are introduced to new places, lifestyles, activities, careers and professionals. The goal of the program is to open young people's eyes to a larger world that seems out of reach for many, due to unfortunate environmental and financial circumstances. We believe that by engaging youth in new activities, they have the opportunity to discover new interests, capabilities, talents, aspirations, dreams, and passions.
